Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Faull.
DEVELOPMENT Dept.

We have had cases of customers who are nervous when they drive in districts where the road surface is treacherous, complaining that their cars skid badly.

As far as we can make out this is because the triple stud tread wears rather badly, and if they run with their tyres blown up hard, they do undoubtedly get a poor road grip when their covers have done about 4000 miles. The only solution we can see to this trouble is for such people to have their tyres re-treaded.

We should like to know whether you are in a position to undertake to replace the pattern on triple stud treads after they have become partially worn and if so how the price of doing this compares with having a new tyre.

Yours faithfully,
