X4050 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}3/LG. Expl: Dept: 23rd. Oct. 1928. Messrs. The Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, We are somewhat concerned with the wear of the silent tread tyres. We find that under various conditions the average mileage of our triple stud tread tyres before they become completely smooth is 5000 miles. The [handwritten: silent tread] [strikethrough: triple stud] tyres we have so far had have become smooth in 3000 miles. We should like to know whether you have had the same experience, and if so, whether you could do anything to prolong the non-skidding life of the silent tread tyre. Yours faithfully, | ||
