Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr.Ikin

In reply to your letter of 21st. August our test pieces are 3" long and 1.800" wide, out from a piece of lining GB.751, of which you have a drawing. It is not essential for them to be 5/16" thick, 1/4" would do.

We very much doubt that our servo is causing squeaks in the drums. The Bentley and 20-25.HP. R.R. Servos are identical, the former car's brakes tend to squeak, the latter give little trouble. In any case we are experimenting with alternative types of servos, so that the matter will automatically be tested.
