Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/Hill/L24713 (contd) (2) absorbers on a light car. The most uncomfortable thing that can be felt when riding in one of our present cars is the jumping of the axle over pot holes, this is worse on a light car and worse still with tyres pumped up very hard (or Palmers). We can alter this with shock absorbers but it seems to have the effect of transmitting the jolts right through the frame; it is simply a matter of opinion which is the worst. We very seldom get a complaint of the car bouncing after going over a bump. A further report will follow. | ||
