E.W.Hives Esq,

Derby.

My dear Hives,

A short time ago I had an opportunity of trying the Spontan gear made by A.C.Wickman Ltd, of Coventry, and fitted to a six-cylinder Rover car.

This gear struck me as being very intriguing, and to have considerable possibilities, and I promised Mr. Wickman that I would write to you and mention the fact that I had tried out this gear, and ask whether you could send out one of your fellows to test it.

Kind regards,

Yours sincerely,

A.H.R.Fedden.
