Springing Complaint (27-RY - Burgess).

H10/NM.25.5.34.

Mrs. Burgess was complaining of the car pitching on wavy roads and rolling on corners. For a town carriage the car was well sprung, but as the Burgess's use this car only for fast long trips, was unsuitably sprung for their requirements.

The car was returned to Derby, where normal rating rear springs, together with slightly weaker poundage low rating front springs were fitted. This was done in order to bring the spring periodicities as near as possible even front and rear, and thus reduce the tendency of the car to pitch.

When the car was returned to Bristol before Whitsun, Mrs. Burgess was out. The driver, Farrow, tried the car in the back and agreed that it was much better, although it still had a tendency to pitch.
