With reference to your telegram on piston rattles on 2.EX Car. We have heard from Maddocks that he is taking the car to the R-R Depot at Nice and will dismantle the cylinders there on Friday 19.inst. The pistons on that car should have the top turned down, as, however, this is the first cases we have had of this complaint with the top turned down, as we have asked Maddocks to wire to confirm that the pistons on that car have that feature. It is possible, due to an error, that they may have got through without having the increased clearance at the top. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
