So far my examination of this does not suggest that much is wrong.

The gearbox and levers seem to have turned out well, and if they satisfy the long test and production considerations, and general convenience, they should not be altered.

The change gear lever looks to me a little long, and brake a little short, but perhaps there are reasons for this that I have forgotten.

The appearance is good, and out of the way of the feet.

It would appear that the instruments should be grouped in two panels, one on each side of the centre, to clear the levers. Spread about as in this specimen the whole would have to be lighted by masked flood lighting.

The worst feature I see is the crowd of accessories - petrol and oil filters, Klaxon, etc. on the L.H. side under the bonnet. I have suggested that some of these be transferred to the R.H. side on the dash.

Tappet modifications that we arranged for L.H. chassis seem to be good.

The fabric on the driven part of clutch, though reported hardly as good as our earlier practice, seems OK. and should be safer fromdamage by careless slipping.
