EXTRACTS FROM CONDITIONS OF SALE.
All B.T.R (or British Goodrich) Tyres are manufactured, sold, and supplied under Conditions of Sale which are fully set out in the Company's Trade Lists, and the attention of Motor Vehicle owners is directed to the following clauses:—

No person shall effect any sale of B.T.R. Tyres except in accordance with these Conditions of Sale, and no person shall sell or supply any B.T.R. Tyres without giving to the purchaser thereof full notice of these Conditions of Sale (Clauses 3 and 4).

No person shall, without the authority in writing of the Company, make to any purchaser of B.T.R. Tyres any allowance whatsoever in respect of used or part-worn Tyres, Covers or Tubes, and no person shall, without the authority, in writing, of the Company, sell or offer, or advertise for sale any B.T.R. Tyres as used or part-worn Tyres, Covers or Tubes (Clause 7b).

BRANDING AND MARKING (9).
(a) No person shall deface, mark, or tamper in any way whatsoever with any B.T.R. Tyres;
(b) No person shall, without the authority in writing of the Company, sell, offer for sale, advertise or supply any such B.T.R. Tyres which have been in any way so defaced, branded, marked or tampered with;
(c) Every person in possession of any B.T.R. Tyres which have been so defaced, branded, marked, or tampered with, shall forthwith notify the Company of the circumstances.

EXHIBITIONS (10).
No person shall exhibit any B.T.R. Tyres or display or use any advertising matter or Price Lists relating thereto, at any exhibition in Great Britain or Northern Ireland, other than an exhibition held under the patronage of, or officially recognised by, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

EXPORT (11).
No person shall export or sell, or offer or advertise for sale for export purposes from Great Britain or Northern Ireland, any B.T.R. Tyres, except when the same have been fitted to, or form a component part of a Motor Car or other vehicle.

AUCTIONS (12).
No person shall sell or offer for sale, or advertise for sale by auction, any B.T.R. Tyres except when the same have been fitted to or form a component part of a second-hand Motor Car or other vehicle.

COUPONS AND GIFT SCHEMES (13).
No person shall, without permission of the Company, make any use whatsoever of any B.T.R. Tyres, whether fitted to a vehicle or not, in connection with any Gift or Prize Scheme, or make any offer or advertise any B.T.R. Tyres, whether fitted to a vehicle or not, as Prizes or Gifts in exchange for coupons supplied with other goods.

In order to ensure that the quality and stability of B.T.R. Tyres shall not be impaired by inefficient workmanship, the Company is compelled to stipulate that any repair to such goods which involves re-moulding, re-grooving, re-cutting, or re-treading shall be a prima facie reason for excluding the owner from the benefit of the Company’s guarantee (Clause 15).

DELAY IN DELIVERY (18).
So long as any circumstances whatsoever beyond the control of the Company may prevent, hinder or delay delivery, the Company shall not be bound to make delivery of any Tyres which it may have contracted to manufacture, sell or supply, and the Company shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever for failure or delay in delivery when so prevented, hindered, or delayed.

ALTERATION OF PRICES AND TERMS (19).
The Company reserves the absolute right, at any time, to alter any of the prices in this Price List, and to alter the terms which it allows to any class of purchaser without any notice whatsoever, and in respect of goods delivered after any such change of price, or change of terms, the price charged shall be the price current at the date of despatch of the goods, and the terms applicable shall be the terms so varied.

GUARANTEE (20).
In view of the abnormal strains and stresses to which Tyres, Covers, and Tubes are or may be subjected, the Company is compelled to stipulate that it makes no representation whatsoever, and gives no guarantee whatsoever in respect of the Tyres manufactured, sold or supplied by the Company, and all conditions and warranties whatsoever, whether statutory or otherwise, are hereby expressly excluded, but the Company is prepared to give the most sympathetic consideration to any complaint as to either manufacture or workmanship, and if in its sole discretion it comes to the conclusion that such complaint is justified, it will be prepared to deal with the same. In no case does the Company accept any responsibility for consequential damage.

LOAD AND AIR-PRESSURE SCHEDULES.
Air carries the load. By actually weighing a laden vehicle, ascertain the load on each axle, and see that the tyres are correctly inflated. In some cases the loads on the front wheels, being less than on the rear wheels, a lower inflation pressure would be indicated as permissible, but in order to provide the easiest steering, and to reduce tread wear, it is recommended that front tyres, except High Pressure, be always inflated to the same pressure as the rear tyres, or even a little higher.
