- 2 -

I confirm that I understood you to say that you could give me no official information on this point; but that you would like to be informed as soon as we arrived at any definite decision as to supplying, servicing, pit work, etc. for road races.

Also, that you were kind enough to say that you would have no objection to our approaching Mr. E.R. Hall and suggesting our servicing any cars he might be entering for road races; and that if this were done you would like to be advised of the result.

New pattern Bentley tyres.

I confirm that I understood you to say that you would have no objection to our offering Mr. Summers a set of the new pattern tyres for him to try on his Bentley, but that before doing so you wished to have two of these tyres sent to you at Derby, in order that you might run them on the front axle of a Bentley, and that, if and when you found them satisfactory in this position, you would advise us, whereupon we might approach Mr. Summers.

Tyres sent to France.

We should be most grateful if you would be so kind as to let us have a set of these tyres back for examination after they have run in France; and if you would be so kind as to advise us of the mileage, also, if possible, the position of the tyres.

Your father-in-law's Bentley chassis - B.10.D.G.

I am immediately taking up the point you mentioned to me with Messrs. Park, Ward; and confirm that I should be pleased to take your fahter-in-law to Willesden when the chassis has arrived there, in order to have the driving seat fitted. I understand you will advise me when he is in London, and when it will be convenient for him to go.

5.B.4.

I am mentioning to Park, Ward the question of rattle in this body.
