Rolls-Royce Limited, DERBY. Dear Mr. Robotham, I am very sorry to have to report that the suppliers of the Bentley test wheels 3.62-17 have let us down rather badly. We had word that they were being despatched last week but they have not yet come to hand. We are now trying to trace them from here. The 6.00-17 tyres are ready and as soon as the wheels come to hand we will mount the tyres and send them to you. We despatched the 6.50-16 Super covers with the Bentley tread design to you on March 31st. Regarding the width of rim, we think that the 4.00 width is the widest that should be used with the 6.00 section as the 4.50 is inclined to distort the tyre to a greater extent than we like. - Continued - | ||
