Herewith we send N. scheme 2175. on which we have carried out the modifications instructed in R2/M2326.
This is the type of front anchorage and gusset which R.{Sir Henry Royce} has chosen of the alternatives submitted. We have reduced the number of bolts in each gusset from 6 to 4 and have modified the shackle covers.. This latter point we are not quite sure about but we think the covers can be added at any time, and that it should not prevent your detailing the bracket forging.
We have retained the idler levers because as shewn in the diagram in the lower part of the drawing we think it will be necessary to prevent the brake ropes rubbing against the gussets.
