To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Bentley Bumper Bar. Copy to JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} Copy to Crawford. Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW.18.7.35 I will arrange for B-2-CW to meet you at the sand pits on Thursday the 25th at 10.30. with JLE{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} and the driver. I note you say that the cross member is an integral part of the bumper bar scheme and is necessary to make a 90% cure, but, without looking up the actual details, I seem to remember that, when this was tried in Paris some many months ago, with Hancock the result of the test indicated something like 50% or 60% with the bumper and the remainder plus cross member. However, if the movement is really bad on this car and the cross member necessary, we can have it done at K in a few days. I should be glad if you would let me hear from you after the test has been made. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
