Re Commander Briggs' Car.

With reference to the above car, you have in hand some aluminium pistons. I think it would be quite a good thing to convert the engine in the same way as we have done 49GB, and possibly with a little higher compression.

This, you will remember, includes light valves, and very strong valve springs, light damper wheel which might possibly be still lighter, no balance weights, aluminium pistons, and light machined rods, also oil retaining clutch which has been very good on 49GB.

Try slower moving air valve.
