To BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to WoB. c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} S E C R E T. 48770 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG17.12.24. 93-NK. Referring to BJ13/H16.12.24. The following parts will be different on 'V' series compared with 93-NK. 1. Radiator, bonnet and dashboard. 2. Ignition control. 3. Watford Magneto instead of Scintilla. 4. Engine suspension - present arrangement on 93-NK only temporary. 5. Exhaust fittings, silencer and cut-out. 6. Undershields. 7. Starter switch and wiring. 8. Auto vac. 9. Fan. 10. Arrangement of oil pump and Relief Valve. 11. Radiator shutters and control. 12. Arrangement of brake operation. There are several small items. We assume that it is the 4th. para. in your memo. which we should adhere to, i.e., when we have produced a 'V' series chassis and it has been approved, there should be no alterations made to it except by standardisation sheet. The 'V' series chassis which the Works are producing are being made with all the modifications which we have mentioned above - they are not similar to 93-NK. As regards the 'V' series experimental chassis which we are preparing, we are still waiting for a number of items - in some cases the designs have not yet been received from W.W. | ||
