CORRECT PROCEDURE FOR MEASURING OIL DRAINED OUT OF CRANKCASE. 1. Place car on a level floor. 2. Run engine until water temperature reaches 80 deg. C. and continue to run for five minutes at this temperature. 3. Stop engine, remove drain plug from sump and drain out oil for five minutes. 4. Replace drain plug and measure oil drained out. 5. Refill engine with an accurately measured two gallons of oil, in the case of 8-cylinder engines, and one and a half gallons in the case of 6-cylinder engines. 6.
