CAR UNIVERSAL UNIT.

Exhaust Valve for High Power Head Cylinder Block.

We send you herewith a print of RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}340 of a 1 1/2" diameter exhaust valve for the cylinder block of the above unit.

This valve, which is to replace the existing valve EX.17162, has been brought into line with our latest practice, by modifying the head, increasing the seat width from .050" to .062", and altering the material to Sylchrome.

When this valve is fitted it will be necessary to recut the seat in the cylinder block to increase its width to .062".

Will BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please have the width of valve seat on the existing cylinder block detail increased from .050" to .062".

Att: RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}340 (print)
