Replying to your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler}5/MH.{M. Huckerby}14.3.38, we have examined the lugs on the clutch and noted wear both on the pressed steel casing and on the lugs themselves. It is difficult to see exactly how the wear has taken place without dismantling the clutch, but the diagram will indicate the appearance of the job, as far as can be measured by inserting feelers. A clutch with increased bearing area for lugs was run on 6.B.IV. in France in 1937. ------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M.
