To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} γ 200d Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}7/MJ.26.10.36. EXAMINATION OF 6-B-1V. During the running in France the crankshaft and flywheel assembly for some reason went out of balance. The drivers corrected this by adding a weight to some part of the clutch. We particularly want to find out what was the cause of the trouble. Therefore before any of the clutch flywheel crankshaft assembly is dismantled we should like to check the present balance on knife edges and on the Trebel machine. After this we shall try and discover what distortion or deflections took place to cause the unbalance. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/H.Grylls. | ||
