ORIGINAL EG. FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} C. to WGR. EH. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. to Z. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} R1/M23.7.31. 13HP. SPECIFICATION. γS77° I think the suggested track is too wide, and it should be 54" front, 56" rear - i.e. 2" less than 28HP., which is 2" less than the 45HP. It is right (confirmed) to be 2" greater at the rear. Many good specimens now have this feature. We suggested it 3 or 4 yrs. ago, and exists on the 45HP. and 25HP. Should the change gear be central or R.{Sir Henry Royce} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} The central is less expensive, and is something towards the L. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} chassis, but English buyers seem to prefer R.{Sir Henry Royce} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Probably tomorrow EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will complete the specification for Sales criticism. Would it pay us better to make a heavy chassis for 'bus or similar work, using some of our 40/50 parts? One fears there is such strong competition in these small cars, and they are very well done for the money. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
