GRX 1528 Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SM/HR.24.10.35. re COMPLAINT OF SECOND GEAR JUMPING OUT. 20/25 HP. and Bentley chassis. With further reference to our conversation in regard to the above, the information you require as to the districts in which this complaint occurs, is as follows:- BENTLEY CHASSIS. B.182-DG. Occurred whilst touring Scotland. B.102-AH. Resident in Yorkshire. B.17-BL. Resident in Switzerland. B.61-BL. Occurred twice on Kirkstone Pass. B.52-CR.{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} Resident at Minehead, Somerset. B.161-CR.{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} Occurred whilst touring Switzerland. 20/25 HP. CHASSIS. GFA-49. Second gear came out fairly easily on moderate hill. GZU-14. Resident in Falmouth, Cornwall. GAW-18. Occurred on Continental tour. GWE-10. Resident at Tiverton, Devon. The majority of the Phantom II complaints we have had have been either in Switzerland or in hilly districts in this country. We have to report a further complaint on a Phantom II car with which we are now dealing, namely 86-RY, Fairfax. We feel that if more of our cars had to negotiate hills which necessitated the use of second gear we should have more complaints. Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SM. | ||
