contact to locate the bearing, the result being that metal is pushed over causing end float in the Drum. No.145 Ball Bearings have been revolving in Hub.

FRONT AXLE.
GB.1224 Front Axle was twisted, for particulars see EX.I.45. this Axle does not incorporate alteration 19787/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} i.e, Strengthened Neck Adjacent to Pivot Pin Boss.
Brake Actuating Shafts twisted -011 and .015.
Pivots were magnetic tested and found OK.
Pivot Pins " " " " " OK.
GB.1463 Housing slight wear on bearing track.

FRONT BRAKES.
Brake linings worn below rivet heads and uneven.
Off-side .100 thick in middle and .250 on the ends.
Near side .250 thick in middle and .300 on the ends.
On all Shoes the Ferodo had sheared forward.
Bushes for Toggle Pins are slack and worn oval.
Toggle Pins bent. Toggles are bent, and
Toggle Shafts opened out - particulars EX.I.46.
Brake Strap Fulcrum Bush pulls into Alum Carrier Plate and appears to have been too tight a job.
Inner Carrier Plate - White metal Bush grooved due to burrs.
