X.3456 - RADIATORS FOR 40/50 H.P. CHASSIS

We have received several radiators, particulars of which we give below. We suggest testing these on the car and after then the ones which appear suitable can be tested on the bumping rig. We are preparing the bumping rig in a similar way as was used previous to the War.

| Make of radiator. | Type of tube. | Dia. of tube. | Weight of radiator empty. | Weight of radiator with water. | Remarks. |
|------------------------|---------------------|---------------|---------------------------|--------------------------------|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| Marston. | Round expanded ends. | 7 mm. | 81 lbs. | 119.5 lbs. | V.good finish, only one vent pipe, side panels have flat edges instead of curved. |
| Reliance. (Mr.Foy). | Round expanded ends. | 8 mm. | 85.5lbs. | 126.2 lbs. | Poor finish, surface of tubes uneven - they appear to need disc grinding. |
| Greenwood & Batley. | Round expanded ends. | 10 mm. | 71.5 lbs. | 111.1 lbs. | V.good finish only one vent pipe. |
