R.R. 188 (800 H) (SD. 298. 15.9.17) M.P. 176549. X3456 EH. from BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} March 11. 1919. BY3/P11319. RADIATOR - 40/50 CHASSIS. Referring to your memo EH3/T10319, we notice that both Marstone & Greenwood & Batley have only fitted one vent pipe. We would like to point out that the drawing to which they worked distinctly showed two vent pipes. In order to prevent any variations from our details we have practically completed a full set of details for the radiator proposed to which we shall insist that all radiators in future shall be made. The trouble has been that in the past only an arrangement drawing with certain dimensions on has been supplied to the radiator makers, which has left them more or less free to modify the radiators without our knowledge. This we propose preventing in the future, by insisting on our details being exactly worked to. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
