BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7010 E4/M24.1128. EXPERIMENTAL 'SS{S. Smith}' CRANKSHAFT. X.7010 BALANCE WEIGHTS. X.1482 We send you herewith drg.Lec.2616 shewing the above. The idea is to make a test of an engine in which the whole of the rotating masses are balanced as far as possible. This means of course that we balance the big ends of the conn. rods. Lec.2616 is only intended as an experimental means of carrying out the test. We should be glad if you could confirm the size of the balance weights for the purpose required. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
