Attached is leaflet descriptive of the "Metreta" Petrol Level Gauge, now handled by Messrs. Rotherham & Sons Ltd, Coventry, the idea being that of Mr. Paul at one time associated with the Cambridge Instrument Company.

I gather the Admiralty Research Department are experimenting with such Gauges, and have already expressed the opinion that same are the most accurate they have yet handled.

The objection to the Gauge is that it does not give a constant reading, i.e., you can only get a reading showing the Petrol or Oil in your tank by turning the small handle at the bottom. [Handwritten: of the dial.]

Would you care to have a sample and try it out further?

Would Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} kindly pass the leaflet on, as it is the only copy I have.
