Dr. Turner,
The Lucas Electrical Co.,
Well St,
Birmingham.

Dear Dr. Turner,

Owing to an accidental breakage of the glass tube of the rose bengal high resistance which you so kindly sent to us, it became necessary to replace the tube and liquid. In replacing the tube we have had difficulty in making an alcohol tight joint between the tube and the brass. We have tried various things, so would like now to ask you if you would be good enough to tell us the way in which you originally made the joint which held quite satisfactorily. We would also like you to tell us the original proportion of rose bengal solution in the alcohol.

You may be interested to know that we have used this leak on and off continuously from the time we received it until quite recently when unfortunately it got broken by a careless labourer.

Hoping things with you are going well.

Yours sincerely,
