BARKER "CJ" SPORTS PHANTOM. CHASSIS IO.EX. SPECIFICATION OF COACHWORK MODIFICATIONS. (1) The SCUTTLE FACE is to be re-inforced on the lines of N.Sch.2233 already sent to the coachbuilders. (2) New WINGS"RUNNING BOARDS AND VALANCES are to be fitted as shewn on N.Sch. 2252 and N.Sch. 2253 herewith. The wings are to be attached to the chassis by means of the standard R-R socket fixings. Special raised step-irons will be supplied with the chassis. (3) A set of Zeiss Head Lamps will be supplied by R-R Ltd which should be supported by brackets as indicated on N.Sch.2252 made by Messrs Barker & Co. using the socket fixing in the front cross-member. A suitable stream-line side light will be obtained. We would welcome suggestions from the coachbuilder on this point. (4) Any GENERAL REPAIRS to the coachwork should be carried out where thought necessary after reporting to EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town. The car should be painted according to instructions which will be issued later. | ||
