W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

With reference to your letter to Mr. Young of the 20th September, we have despatched to you today 6 - 7.00/18 tyres as Lord Rothes was on the telephone to me and stated that you were urgently requiring these tyres.

You will remember that some time ago you raised the question as to whether the new design Super Tyres were not more noisy than the Speed Special Tyres. We have been going into this matter and have made various tests, the results of which we will be sending to you very shortly. We have, therefore, changed all our production moulds on the tyres which you are now receiving, or will be shortly, are of this latest pattern. [handwritten above 'pattern': kind]

In view of your remarks regarding silence with the independent wheel springing, we should like to incorporate this change in the 7.00/18 tyres and I suggest that we should send you a further set of tyres. We should be able to have these ready for shipment at the end of next week.

We shall be very pleased to co-operate with you in
