Childs}, Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/JH. 2nd. April, 1940. Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, LONDON.N.W.10. For the attention of Mr. C.Ward. Dear Sirs, re Instrument Board Ripplet 2.R.2. We are fully aware that the Ripplet body will by now be complete with the instrument board to a design already sent to you. We have been doing some work on instrument board with a view to reducing the numbers of odd switches, and consequently we are prepared to ask you to make a new board for this car. On RD.718 of which we enclose a print we show our requirements. Any instruments or switches which are on the chassis at the moment and which do not appear on our new scheme may be omitted. Amongst those deleted is the petrol pump switch and the screen wiper switch. The cigar lighter should have a black knob to match that of the rheostat for the heater. Under the cubby hole on the left hand side we wish to have a tool drawer such as the one found on the Rover cars, and we are asking Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} to supply you with photographs of such a drawer fitted to one of our cars.
