Mr Hancocks 43426 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY/017/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 29. 11. 23. 40/50. HP. CHASSIS. SHORT CHANGE SPEED LEVER. Sales are again pressing us to let them have a change speed lever about 3 1/2" shorter than present standard, fitted to a Trials car. We refused to do this some time ago, but they suggested that we might make one of these levers and let them have same for inspection purposes. They have now returned this lever requesting that same should be fitted to 50-LK.{L. King} "H" Trials car which is now at the Works, but here again we have written them that we do not propose to do so. PN.{Mr Northey} also wishes to have a similar lever fitted to 107-MG. Trials Car, but this also we have refused to do. We think it would be as well, however, to have the lever which we are handing you herewith fitted to a car, and find out what are the advantages or disadvantages by the use of such a lever in place of the present standard, in view of Sales' persistency in the matter.
