B-189-AE...A.H.R.Fedden.

We have today heard from Mr. Fedden in reply to our letter of the 21st ult. to the effect that he recently tried his car without front wings but found the brakes to squeal as badly as ever.

Because of this he has decided not to commit him- self to the expense of new front wings until he knows just how successful you are likely to be in curing the brake squeals.

He has asked us to delay making any arrangements with the coachbuilders concerning the new wings until the car has been to you and he knows the results of your efforts to cure the squealing trouble.

We assume you are reasonably confident that you will be able to cure the brake squeals, in which case Mr. Fedden will apparently decide to have the new front wings, so that you will want to fit the standard pivots to the front axle when the car comes to you.
