The boat was towed back to Tigre immediately after this run. Kaye Don and Mr. Hooper hurried to Buenos Aires and were able to catch the Avelona Star at night.

FRIDAY 3.4.31.

Engine cylinders inspected, rust in all liners, the same procedure was carried out re priming well with mineral oil and turning engines over a number of times on compressed air, this cleaned liners satisfactorily. A further supply of mineral oil was placed in all cylinders for despatch purposes. Petrol and oil tanks drained and boat generally prepared for shipping.

SATURDAY 4.4.31.

Arrangements were made for exhibiting the boat at the "Exposicion Britanica" for a few days.

Miss England II was towed down to Buenos Aires in the early hours of Sunday morning to allow enough time for the use of the electric cranes at the Docks as the power to these cranes is switched off at 11 a.m. on Sundays. We finally got the boat out of the water and on a lorry at three minutes to eleven, which was running things a bit fine.

After the boat was placed in the exhibition, the arrangements were made for shipping to Italy in the "Conte Verde"; eventually, after the removal of a ventilator this was possible.

Garner and Fisher during this time, had all spares etc. packed ready for shipping at Tigre, and also repacked the spare engine.

Wilcocks, Garner and Fisher sailed on the 11.4.31 in the "Conte Verde" and my self in the "Tuscan Star" on 9.4.31 two days previously for England.
