K264a ( G.W.H. is absent ) HOTEL DE FRANCE. CHATEAUROUX. Indre. France. 18th April 1936. GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/HFH{Hoppy F. Hamilton}/4/JAB. To. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} B. 56. BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} - BENTLEY We completed the car yesterday and gave it a careful test on the road. All measurements were set and checked. The pivot lean and toe in were correct. The steering proved to be very light and agreeable to handle in traffic, but at speeds over 40 MPH. the car has a tendancy to wander. We are however, expecting G.W.H; to-night and are anxious to get his opinion on this point. No difficulty was experienced in fitting up the axle, spring, and other parts. We have resumed the 10.000 test to-day, and the car will complete a normal day's running. ------------ G.W.H./H.F. Hamilton. H F Hamilton. | ||
