300b HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std13/R.31.12.36. ENGINE SIDEGUARDS FOR CONTINENTAL P.III. We wish to dispense with the standard side- guards on this chassis, and fit instead vertical valances on the frame to shield the engine from mud, without inter- fering with the air flow from under the bonnet. We have a mock-up of what we require fitted at present on 37-EX - will you please examine this, and instruct a presentable version of this scheme for 39-EX. The sideguards need not necessarily be fitted before the chassis goes to the Coachbuilders. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
