40/50 CHASSIS. LUGGAGE GRID BRACKET.

For some time the question of making the above part a standard equipment of the car has been under discussion. It has been held up because Sales originally were of the opinion that the customer should pay. We pointed out, however, from the Works that when the luggage grid brackets were afterwards called for,(as they frequently are) the cost of fitting them is out of all proportion to their value, as it becomes necessary to dismantle the Shock Absorbers and the rear tank before the brackets can be fitted up, and since in addition to dismantling the rear tank, now supports have to be fitted for the tank, owing to the bending of the part in question, it became necessary for us to see that the change was made by one of our mechanics.

CJ. now agrees that providing you are in agreement with the fitting of these extra brackets, which will cost, when fitted to the car, 25/- per chassis, that we can issue standardisation sheets under such consent.

We are quite certain that compared with the type of bracket the Coachbuilder fits, those of our design are very desirable and should be a part of our standard equipment.
