This unit is to be handed over to Production in exchange for the unit which they supplied us for Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car.

To have usual running in and power curve etc.

Timing gears to be quietened on bed and all complaints to be corrected before sending over to Production. With regard to the pre-ignition which has occurred on Nos. 2 & 3 cylinders, we are endeavouring to borrow a head from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} to compare.

B.19.
Following C.16. this engine which is being assembled with three new AC.5.S. and 3.AC.6.S. big end bearings, existing A.C.5.S. main bearings for endurance. 10 hours full and 10 hours ½ load alternate running on Ethyl.

WRAITH
Phantom III. type of damper relief valves are being made for this unit on account of noise with the existing, will you please see that these are O.K. and give reasonably correct pressures.

On this unit we should like some comparative cold and hot oil pressures, main, rocker feed, and the gear feed.

Following the completion of water flow tests with Phantom III. cooler inserted and report made thereon, the following to be done.

Oil consumption tests of 2 hours duration at 4000 until a flat figure has been repeated, then return the unit into the shop.
