1204 22 Palmerston Road. Coventry. 26.5.41. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq Dear Mr Robotham. I have just to-day had a note from Son John who tells me he is "passing out" of the O.C.T.U. on Thursday next & first plans to be in Derby but, probably only for 3 or 4 days. I don't know what he is going to Derby for but I think he may like to feel he isn't in the wilds especially after nearly 9 months on Salisbury Plain. Also I expect that all the mis-geared recruits will be left behind & he will be getting off with his crowd & new Kit including his one pip. I am asking him to ring you up, hoping you may be able to cheer him up a bit, because he has only had odd 24 hours leave since he joined up. He has a little 8 HP car with him & I don't know if he will be allowed to take it to Derby & then on to wherever he is going. I hope you don't mind & I must say I doubt if he will contact with you. I trust you are quite well Yours sincerely J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} C. Daniel. | ||
