contd :- -2- the next batch of rubbers ordered from Messrs. Dunlop should be specified to give .150 deflection ± .007 under 750 lbs. load, the mix to be as at present. We think that they will be able to work to these limits. We are experimenting with other mixes with a view to reducing permanent set but have not enough data as yet to change over. We do feel, however, that it will be better if we can avoid drilling as this diminishes the quantity of rubber taking the load. Rubber can be tested under 700 lbs. load in the Works and paired up accordingly. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
