Bailey - Chief Engineer} X2677 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/KT.14.11.33 S.U. PETROL PUMP TO LEC.3614. We have queried the restricting of the inlet valve lift of the petrol pump by Skinner, because we find that it reduces the maximum output of the pump without making an appreciable difference to its priming capacity. A comparison between two pumps, one recommended by S.U's. and one we recommend, tested on a gradient one in five, is as follows :- On Greenbank. S.U. Pump.10.2 secs. R.R. Pump 11.4 secs. On Level. S.U. Pump. 8 secs. R.R. Pump. 11 secs. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
