Dear Sirs,

Your Reference:- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}

We thank you for your letter of the 25th March, addressed for the attention of our Mr. Johnson, concerning various Rocker Bushes and note your remarks.

With regard to Bush Part No. EB.4733, we note that you have corrected the oil groove depth to .790" diameter, but wish to point out that this does not agree with our recommendation, which states that the oil groove will be .015"/.020" deep, thus giving a diameter of .766/.776".

In the dimensions called for by you, viz. .790" diameter, this will mean an oil groove .027"/.032" deep, which is not practical, as it would penetrate deeply into the steel and possibly destroy the bond between the babbitt and the steel.

We shall be pleased to hear, therefore, that you are prepared to accept this Bush with the oil groove .015"/.020" deep, as originally suggested.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times.

Yours faithfully

VANDERVELL PRODUCTS LIMITED.
