(15) Rear engine mounting to Design scheme to be instructed shortly.

(16) Cooling System.

(a) Radiator

(1) Yoke to have rear cross bracing as for LeC.5258 - otherwise to Ex.24797.

(2) Top tank, to be modified to suit LeC.5258 and to have an alternative steam escape outlet flange as per std. production (E.50435 flange and E.50443 studs) - also to have an internal pipe leading from this flange to top of tank above calorstat, so that steam is taken off at highest point of tank. This flange is to be blanked off until we need to use it for Scheme Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}417.

(3) New filler cap to be fitted as per Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}432 and fibre washer to be fitted to same in place of aluminium washer.

(4) Steam valve to be removed and handed to W.Bell for -

(a) New valve seatings (rubber) to be fitted.

(b) New spring to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}433 to be fitted. - We shall require this spring to be made.

(c) Valve to be tested to blow at 5 lbs/sq.in.

(5) Matrix unit complete to be pressure tested to 10 lbs./sq.in. for one hour.

(b) Fan.

Five bladed Cadillac fan at present fitted to be packed with high melting point Belmoline grease (as was done for 32-EX). New fan belt to be fitted (Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. will supply).

(c) Starting Handle. - Cheapened starting handle with handle outside bumpers - LeC.5610 to be fitted and present support bosses and timing case to be removed.

(d) Undersheets - Undershields as present fitted but with side shields modified to extend a further 8" approx. along chassis with bottom edge of plates running up to the bottom of frame in this last 8".
Aluminium shield and stays to be stove enamelled black.
