For the attention of G.A.Vandervell, Esq. Dear Sirs, We are to-day despatching 6 bearing billets in our Aluminium-Tin alloy AC.6 which you require for despatch to U.S.A. These billets have been given the first heat-treatment and are now ready for rough machining after which they require a further heat treatment. Will you please, therefore, instruct Mr.Hopkins that before the final machining operations are carried out these bearings require further heat treatment of 10 - 12 hrs. at 170°C.
