Re: R.R.A.I.

Thanks for Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG21.1.29. with enclosures. The position is that BJ. has been keeping Mr. Fuller in close touch with the situation regarding "SS{S. Smith}" ever since Mr. Fuller was last over here. Mr. Fuller was written to fully immediately the decision was taken at the last Board Meeting, giving our programme and asking him to let us know what the American Company had decided, or would decide, in regard to producing in America, or purchasing from us, the "SS{S. Smith}" chassis.

I therefore suggest that the first paragraph of your reply should be altered to read to the effect that you under-stand BJ. has written fully to him in regard to the proposed programme of dates we expxct to be producing and selling "SS{S. Smith}" cars, and asking him for decision in regard to their programme.|

In regard to the last paragraph, in view of the above - i.e. that we are really waiting to hear from America what they are going to do, we would like this question of sending out a car deleted, as we first wish to hear from them in regard to their programme.
