X3524 W/S. (H) c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY10-P18.5.23. 20HP LUGGAGE GRIDS. Referring to HO14/EBN15523, we note that Sales seem very much perturbed by the lightness of the above part. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, informs me, however, that he has thoroughly tested it out and that he is quite satisfied it is strong enough for its duty. We would like to point out that very many of the structures fitted by the Coachbuilders are out of all proportion to the load that can be put on a luggage carrier, and all that we can do therefore is to impress upon you the fact that the lightness of the grid is, of course, a very strong point in its favor, and that Sales should not allow themselves to be disturbed by customers remarks, but should insist that the grid is amply strong for all that can be imposed upon it, and that to put more weight into same is only giving the car extra load to carry for no useful object.
