X 5524 DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C /W/S. (Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}) BY7-P11.8.23. 20HP. LUGGAGE GRIDS. I am sending you herewith copy of Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}19/LH{Mr Haworth}25723. The memo in question deals with the 20HP grid, which is considered to be unsatisfactory, in as much as the back extension is not positively held down. The effect of this is that when luggage is added, the extension, plus the luggage, rocks to and fro and damages the body. We have recently standardised the luggage grid, and as a matter of fact we have some two or three hundred in progress. if there is any modification you wish to make to meet the criticisms put forward by LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} and Sp{Mr Spinney}, would you kindly let us know as soon as possible. We attach photostat of the LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} type of luggage grid referred to. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
