Stockport,

Dear Sirs,

FOR THE ATTENTION OF MR. SHILTON.
****************************

Many thanks for your letter of the 29th instant., and the writer must apologise not answering before.

We have passed an instruction to the Works for the pulleys we discussed on your recent visit here, but up to the present these have not come to hand. As soon as they are avilable, however, we shall forward them on to you.

There is one point we should like to draw your attention to, and that is where you quote a figure of 16 HP. at 4,500 r.p.m. this, we consider, should be 16 HP. at 4,000 r.p.m. crankshaft speed, as this more closely approximates to our actual conditions.

We have not as yet obtained prints of the pulleys which we promised to send to enable you to make up some bakelite pulleys, but we hope to be able to let you have these very shortly.
