To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to CJ. [struck through] SJK EFC. X3563 ORIGINAL [struck through] R4/G14/4/21. x AP X3456 [struck through] X3563 RE THERMOSTATIC CONTROL. x3902 On some previous occasions you reported that this apparatus hunts. It has occurred to me that if the thermostat were in the water leaving the radiator, i.e. going to the cylinders (naturally set for a slightly lower temperature) its tendency to hunt would be reduced, because it would more promptly feel the effect of a change in temperature, whether this is caused by an alteration in the opening of louvres or valve. I shall be glad if you can experimentally find out whether this is really the case. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
