out from England, especially if it is B.P. Ethyl, which I should very much like to use if it is satisfactory, and this takes time, but if I know early next week, everything will be all set, including the tyres etc., for the last week in March, and the track and timekeepers are available during that week, and also the first week in April.

I understand the car is being sent back to you today, and I shall be getting in touch with you at Derby next week. In short all arrangements have been made in Paris and there is only the fuel question to settle finally in order to give instructions at this end.

With all best regards,

Yours very sincerely,
George Eyston

P.S. With regard to International Records etc., I am afraid there is no chance of getting any of these during the 24 hours and I enclose a list of what has been done in this respect.

As to any 'Performance Controle' with standard saloon cars, etc., the A.C.F. are going to write me a line saying whether they have anything in their files with regard to any attempts which were made during recent years in Europe (they have no information about America, and I do not think we need bother about this, but in any case I will write for same to America). As far as they can recollect, a performance of over 100 m.p.h. for 24 hours with a 4-seater saloon, more or less standard car, will be something quite new.
GE.

N.B. Captain Eyston regrets he had to leave the office before signing this letter personally.
