BENTLEY AND 25/30 - CLUTCH FACING MATERIAL. Since Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler}7/JH.10.9.37. was written the fact that on the Bentley, slipping takes place when high speed changes are made, demands that we must give this matter further consideration. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} reported this was pointed out to him by Experimental engineers, and that he confirmed that slip occurred and continued for as long as two seconds on Bentley. We must either show it is not destructive of the fabrics or make modification to spring pressure and pedal leverages on Bentley, apparently on 25/30 with the increased diameter of plates we have a sufficient margin. We must await Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s further report. By BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
